| Foram avaliadas a deposição de serapilheira e de nutrientes em quatro procedências de grevilea (Grevillea robusta Cunn), de quatro anos de idade, plantadas na Região de Quedas do Iguaçu, em solo classificado como LATOSSOLO VERMELHO Distroférrico (Haplustox). Os resultados possibilitaram as seguintes conclusões: 1) A grevilea produz em média 10267 kg de serapilheira por hectare/ano, superando as produções observadas em povoamentos de Pinus e Eucalyptus. 2) A concentração dos macronutrientes na serapilheira não tem relação com o crescimento volumétrico, exceto de P, que se apresenta em maior concentração em povoamentos com a menor produção volumétrica de média. 3) As procedências mais produtivas em madeira tenderam a depositar, pela serapilheira, as maiores... |

| This study evaluated levels of digestible lysine and organic zinc for male Ross strain broilers from 1 to 11 days of age. It was used 1,050 chicks distributed in randomized block design, in 5 × 2 factorial scheme, with seven repetitions of 15 birds per experimental unit. The dietary concentrations of digestible lysine were 0.90; 1.00; 1.10; 1.20; and 1.40% combined with 43 and 253 ppm zinc chelate. The diets contained 2,965 ± 18 kcal/kg of apparent metabolizable energy (AME) and 21.48 ± 0.18% of CP. | Litterfall, precipitation and nutrient fluxes were investigated in a 0.25 ha plot of a secondary lowland rain forest in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, for a period of one year. The study determined the magnitude of nutrient fluxes through (litterfall, incident rainfall, throughfall and stemflow) and evaluated the relative importance of these components as pathways of nutrient transport to the soil of this forest. There was a significant monthly variation in litterfall and the highest values of the standing crop of litter occurred from November to March. The concentration of elements in both throughfall and stemflow were higher than those of incidence rainfall.
